Selena Gomez, Kylie Jenner and Hailey Bieber drama explained

Selena Gomez, Kylie Jenner and Hailey Bieber drama explained

Apparently there is a dispute. Selena Gomez, Hailey Bieber and Kylie Jenner are said to be involved. Apparently it happened on social media.

(Note: This article may be based on a true story. To what extent? There are no guarantees.)

Either way, there was a lot of noise about escalating drama that (allegedly) caused a lot of people to suddenly hit the unfollow button on Instagram. Follow us as we recreate this fan's fantasy of fights, drama, and mean girls.

What we know for sure

On February 21, Gomez reportedly (apparently) posted a series of videos on TikTok and his Instagram Stories. In the premiere, She pretended to say, "My name...my name is Bella Hadid." But the words in that video are, according to Women's Health U.K. "I wish I was as pretty as Bella Hadid." This was followed by another video of Gomez saying in her own voice, "That's me instead. I licked my eyebrows too much." Then there was another: "My name is Selena Gomez...listen, that doesn't even sound sexy."

That same day, about three hours later, Jenner posted a photo of herself to her Instagram Stories with the words "Was it an accident????" on her eyebrows. This was interpreted as Jenner observing Gomez. Because both messages contained eyebrows?

Also on the same day, Bieber posted a TikTok with himself, Kendall Jenner and singer Justine Skye, who lip-synced with the words, "I'm not saying she deserves it, but I'm saying the timing of God is always good." He later deleted the post, but others have since reposted it. Did you speak directly to Gomez? Some very online people seem to think so.

On Feb. 22, the youngest Kardashian-Jenner (allegedly) commented on a video in which a TikTok user speculated that Kylie Jenner was following Gomez, writing, "It's a reach. No shade to Selena and I didn't see his brow bone! you're making something out of nothing That's nonsense.

Gomez replied (allegedly): "Okay @kyliejenner. All pointless. I'm a Kylie fan!" We say "allegedly" because there were around 25,000 comments on the post last time. People had to cite yet another source to understand that last comment.

Also falling into the fact category: Selena Gomez dated Justin Bieber from 2011 to 2018. Hailey Bieber dated Justin Bieber from 2015 to 2016, then got engaged shortly after he and Gomez said their final goodbyes . The couple tied the knot in a courthouse in September 2018 and remarried a year later, because why not?

Fans of the Bieber-Gomez and Bieber-Baldwin (Hailey's maiden name; daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin) romances have kept the semblance of an alleged feud alive, and now it seems to have resumed.

What were the consequences?

Gomez announced on Feb. 23 that she was taking a break from social media. It was the same day she dethroned Kylie Jenner as the most followed woman on Instagram. Only footballers Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi and Instagram itself have more followers.

"I love who I am and yeah, I'm going to take a second on social media because it's kinda silly," Gomez told her fans. "And I'm 30, I'm too old for that. But I love her very much and will see her again sooner rather than later."

On Feb. 28, DailyMail.com reported that Jenner had lost "approximately one million followers" on Instagram as a result of the (alleged) shadow, dropping from 380 million to 379 million followers. On Monday, however, it climbed back to 380 million. According to social media statistics site Social Blade, it has lost around 129,000 subscribers in the last 30 days, a lot more has happened in that time than EyebrowGate.

To put that into numbers, people can relate to, it's like selling a Kylie Lip Kit for $32 for a while, only to wake up one day and realize that's eight cents less. And then a few days later you see it's worth $31.99 again. traumatic.

Meanwhile, Gomez added more Acolytes than usual over the same period, ending his current 395 million followers. Social Blade says it added 19.3 million in the past 30 days, again significantly more than EyebrowGate.

And Hailey Bieber is still only the 118th most followed person on Instagram. He only has 49.4 million people waiting for his every message. That's nearly a million in the last 30 days, according to Social Blade, during that time...you know the drill. Please, let's not talk about correlation versus causation, okay?

Why are we interested in this now in March?

Because on Sunday, Gomez wrote in comments on a TikTok she made as she returned to social media, "Please be kinder and consider the mental health of others. Sweetheart was heavy and I only want what's good for everyone. All my love."

Researching this story, something else came to light: Hailey Bieber applied castor oil to her eyebrows "every night" when she was trying to grow them back after waxing them too much because a teenage girl made them too thin. It looks like a cheap way to restore eyebrows. But we got lost.

So what is the essence of all this mess?

Again, because these are perhaps the wisest words Kylie Jenner has ever shared online: "You make something out of nothing. This is nonsense.
